Checkout Procedures

If a student finishes a book sooner, he or she is encouraged to come to open-library to return it and check-out another book. Students may only check-out new books when old ones have been returned. If books are more than one month overdue, the library staff will contact families through phone or email to raise awareness about the overdue books.
At Granby Library, we do not charge fines for late books. However, if a book is lost or beyond damage repair, you will be asked to pay for the replacement cost of the book or a student will need to volunteer to work off the price of the book. If students notice a book is damaged before the book is taken back to class or home, let Mrs. Earl know.
